Thanksgiving Pecan Pie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Position a rack in the center of the oven.
  2. Prepare the filling:
    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add pecans:
    Stir in the pecan halves until evenly coated.
  4. Fill the crust:
    Pour the pecan mixture into the unbaked pie crust, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake the pie:
    Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 50–55 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown. A knife inserted halfway between center and edge should come out clean.
  6. Cool before serving:
    Allow pie to cool completely on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before slicing.
