Ingredients
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Position a rack in the center of the oven. - Prepare the filling:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth and well combined. - Add pecans:
Stir in the pecan halves until evenly coated. - Fill the crust:
Pour the pecan mixture into the unbaked pie crust, spreading evenly. - Bake the pie:
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 50–55 minutes, or until the center is set and the crust is golden brown. A knife inserted halfway between center and edge should come out clean. - Cool before serving:
